Although men may think that this is a new way, it is not, for men in Old Testament have already known forgiveness of sins by God’s grace, which is the outflow of His love! This is what King David expresses very clearly in Psalm 103 where it is written: ‘Praise the Lord, O my soul, all my inmost being, praise His Holy name’. Why did King find that he should encourage himself to do this? Because it is good for us also, to talk to our soul, by doing so David gave himself a chance to look at his soul, and do something to bless it! Praise the Lord, (or bless the Lord) O my soul, and forget not all His benefits! David gives his soul a good reason to encourage himself to praise the Lord and told himself not forget to do so for good reasons. To bless is to ‘Give honour and glory to God, to worship and adore Him.’ He does this from a very happy and grateful heart, to bless has an element of making happy, and such a worship gives God great pleasure, He feels good! In return God gives many blessings for anyone who is thankful!
What are these blest returns! 1.Who forgives all your sins! 2.And heals all your diseases! 3. Who redeems your life from the pit of corruption. (Or destruction) 4. And crowns you with love and compassion. 5. Who satisfies your desires with good things – the Kings James version. Who filleth thy mouth with good things? 6. So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 7. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed. Now, dear reader, think about It! Should you not find a way to know David’s God, how can you live without Him? Jesus has made David’s God real and called Him His Father, and He expressed His Father’s love for sinners in everything that he said and did; it’s all written in the Gospels?
So, David was a man who knew God well, his trust in God started in his childhood, and He did not let him down, he found God to be faithful and true, and He knew that He would not allow anyone to hurt him! This brings me to my first question, which I asked at the beginning. I could not really answer it until now, because, if there is such a man on this planet, a man that knows beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is a Christian, a disciple of Christ, it is because God has made all the provisions to make it possible to save him from the pit of hell. Truths I expressed fully from the Link number one make it possible to ask! So, here goes! in the light of all the ungodliness that is so rampant today, the great question I ask is! WHO IS A CHRISTIAN!? Are there, in these days, of utter corruption and godlessness, people that know Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and know Him so well, and love Him so much and talk about Him without fear? If there are such people, then they deserve to be called CHRISTIANS? All I want to state as a conclusion to this portion of the study, it is this: ‘God took the initiative to help man out hell, for he could not do it by himself, and it is by faith in His Son Jesus Christ that he converts a lost, hell bound sinner into a saint and such a man is a true CHRISTIAN.’
Therefore, in these days of great unbelief in the truth of the gospel, how to become a Child of God is very ambiguous, for there are too many confessions that have shut the way to salvation. Generally, the way it is applied nowadays, it is more a cultural heritage, then a personal commitment. To many it is a geographical phenomenon very far removed from what a Christian was originally! When, after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which happened on the day of the feast of Pentecost, the gospel of Christ started to be preached in Jerusalem by the apostle Peter, a Christian Jew, the believers were called disciples, today we have to say that true CHRISTIANS are His disciples! When as a pastor, I was visiting, at times visiting people in their homes in the vicinity of the Church of which I was the pastor. I remember meeting a young man to whom I asked: ‘Are you a Christian?’ He looked at me surprised, thought for few seconds and said: ‘I never gave it much thought, but I must be, I’m English! So, what are the non-English? Really speaking most people in the world have not got a clue of how an unbeliever in Jesus Christ can become one of His disciple!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
