Something that Jesus mentioned in His prayer confirms all I have said about the Gospel, for He said: ‘I have revealed you to those that you have given me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I have given them the words you gave me and they have accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you and they believed that you sent me! I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, (all non-Christian) but for those you have given me, for they are yours!’ (John 17: 6-9) Then Jesus adds: ‘My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. (John 17: 20-21) There is therefore this miraculous oneness, between Jesus and God His father and every redeemed person that belong to Him! It is not something that men can do or want to do – It is a done thing, those that are truly converted by faith in Christ are one with Him – hence with God! It is a treasured oneness that no-one can cancel nor ignore! Anyone that desires to hear God speak must listen to the Gospel, preached with the anointing of the Holy Spirit! The life of Jesus, His words, and miracles had one purpose, to glorify God and reveal Him to those that God gave Him!
Therefore, salvation is not just what one is saved from, by the power of the Gospel, but above all, it is what one is saved unto! In His prayer Jesus said this! ‘Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.’(John 17: 24) WE are facing eternal wonderful, out of this world truths, they go beyond our human understanding, that is why God gives faith, which is not a belief of certain things, men can do that, all men believe in something, but faith is what God gives! In the light of what God says, who can one refuse to believe in Christ and serve Him? One is saved from slavery to a cruel master Satan, to serve a loving amazing Lord! This part of the prayer (John 17) is really a confirmation of what Jesus said to his disciples few hours or so before He prayed this amazing prayer: ‘In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am.’ (John 14: 2-3) This coming of Jesus Christ of take the believers to heaven is called the rapture. Jesus said that it will happen suddenly, when we least expect it. He will come like a thief in the night to rapture and take to His home every believer, even if they believed truly just before they died!
This prayer is being answered to this very day! Every time a sinner comes to Christ to be saved one more is added to the waiting band! This prayer has so much spiritual meaning, that natural men, meaning, men not born again of the Holy Spirit, cannot grasp nor understand why Christians love the Lord Jesus so much. Only men born of the Holy Spirit can begin to understand, live, and enjoy the depth of the oneness they alone have with Jesus and, through Him, with God their Father. We cannot ignore that the Holy Spirit is the one that makes all this real and without Him nothing would be done! He makes every word a living experience. It proves that the ‘conversion’ of a natural man, a sinner, into a son of God, is only possible by the power of the Gospel, the Word of God. God by sending Jesus into the world to preach the words He gave to Him, which He did so faithfully, in the power of the Holy Spirit! It is He,that proves by His action in every believer that the Father did send His Son Jesus, not just to make men a bit better morally, men can make themselves better in many ways, without ever hearing the Gospel, but no-one can become a son of God but by the power of God’s word, the Gospel, which is breathed into life by the anointing of the Holy Spirit! It is when the Gospel is preached by chosen men, that it displays its creative power, and creates true convictions! Jesus was specifically anointed with the Holy Spirit to do what He did in obedience to God!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
