One has to approach the Holy Scriptures with great humility. A passage I quoted in the previous Link, is a testimony to the grace of God and to the love which He and His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, have proved to be so deep, so real and unchanging. Although for centuries, even before Jesus was born into the world, they have suffered a lot of grief and insults from men before the flood; many years after, they got it from the Israelites, then from an untold number of Gentiles. All men have done and said about God and His Son have not altered their determination to save the elect and having done all, to replace this old polluted earth with a brand new one, in which God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit will dwell with men forever! Even so come Lord Jesus.
Man is an ungrateful and selfish being, all he gets comes directly or indirectly from his Maker, life and all that he needs to maintain it, Paul when he was in Athens at the Areopagus, was greatly distressed seeing the great idolatry that prevailed. Among all the altars dedicated to many idols he found one with the inscription. ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD’. Now what you worship as something unknow, I am going to proclaim to you. The God who made heaven and earth and does not live in temples built with hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything because he Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek after Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ (Acts 17: 24-28) It is all there in a nutshell, yet all God gets in return from this ungrateful world are insults from godless creatures! I too was lost among such people, but by the grace of God through the Lord Jesus Christ and in Him, He saved me!
Men, in general, have no time for Jesus or God. But some, like the apostle Paul, like me, and millions of others. Out of lost world without hope and without God, have been converted by the power of the Holy Spirit, have been converted into sons of God! All men are sinners by nature, born in sin, enemies of God through wicked works! For who loves God as Jesus said we should: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind!’ (Matthew 22: 37) This is it, however good you think you may be, or how much good you do with devotion to help mankind, or how you live your life in your neighbourhood, does not justify you, you are not safe if you cannot or do not love God! That is how sin manifest itself, there is no love for the one who gives life and breath!
The apostle Paul, after his conversion, lived the rest of his life as a witness to the love and the grace of God, as he says: ‘The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus!’ He is a true example of what the grace of God does, what true conversion means, and is. God took the initiative to deliver him from the bondage to sin and Satan; the apostle Paul makes it plain in all his writings that it is totally an unmerited favour! Man cannot do a thing to save his soul from hell, repentance from sin is wrought by the Holy Spirit and is the first step to true salvation; one is not a Christian without it! There are other mighty experiences in the faith as one grows into it, He also leads a Christian to appreciate the grace and the knowledge of God’s great love. The apostle Paul could not stop to write about His beloved Son, who by His death redeemed sinner like him; he called himself the chief, the worst of sinners, but then, as he says: ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners! Of whom I am the worst.’ He was a heartless, religious fanatic, thinking that he was serving God by hating and putting in prison Christians in Jerusalem and around it! Later, he wrote: ‘In Jesus we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.’ (Ephesians 1: 8) If you are not et a Christian better believe these words inspired by the Holy Spirit, and surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ for the saving of your soul!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
