Hence, every man that lives on this globe is condemned already. The idea that prevails man’s thinking that by doing our best we should be safe on judgement day, is a trick of the devil, for that way does not work, it leads nowhere and eternity is forever, it is not something that we can take a chance on. Man is a slave of the devil and he cannot free himself from his grasp, so what is the conclusion? ‘We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are under sin. As it is written: There is no-one righteous, not even one; there is no-one that understands, no-one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no-one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes! Now, we know that whatever the law says (The ten commandments) it say to those who are under law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore, no-one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.’ (Romans 3: 9-20) The ten commandments define what sin is and that, because of its power, no man has been able to obey them. How can a man who hates God love Him? There are no degrees of unrighteousness. The law (the Ten Commandments) has created slots into which people position themselves. Man tries to find someone worse than himself, and feels satisfied when he does, because he is not as bad as him. But before God: ‘All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’ (Romans 3: 23) A glory Adam Lost when he obeyed Satan, and fell under the condemnation of sin, taking all humanity, his descendants with Him.

So, we shall end here, and say that if God was not merciful and gracious, we would not be on this planet today, for he would have done, what man deserves and put him and the world out of existence long ago. But in His mercy, He had designed a plan of redemption and to this unworthy world, lost in sin and death, He has sent a deliverer, a Saviour! His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. So, there is this fact, and the Bible is full of facts, a book of history, things that happened to normal people like you and me. After all that God has said about the awful corruption of mankind, in His mercy, He has sent into this world His only Son, who came willingly to rescue those who would accept His offer of redemption, so we have this amazing statement, spoken by John the Baptist: ‘The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven (Jesus Christ the Son of God) is above all. He testifies to what He has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony! The man who has accepted it, has certified that God is truthful. For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God for God gives Him the Holy Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in His hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever reject the Son will not see life, For God’s wrath remains on him.’ (John 3: 31-36)

Therefore, to this mass of corrupt humanity, God in this mercy has sent a Saviour, His One and Only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ! From the beginning of compiling these ‘Links’ I have endeavoured to state all that God has done to rescued man from the pit of corruption. Moses was given the Law from God on mount Sinai nearly fifteen centuries BC (before the birth of Christ). With the ten commandments came the institution of various sacrifices, one of which was a sacrifice for sin, I cannot enter into details for it is a vast subject; all I can say is that during such a long period, not one Jew or proselyte, (a Gentile that was converted to Judaism) has been able to obey all the ten commandments, all fall short at the first fence, for no one loves God to this very day, for because of sin man, by nature, is an enemy of God! But through Jesus Christ God has made a way to forgiveness of sins, and reconciliation!
