Thus, God sent the flood and all perished, men and beats, except Noah and his family so, only eight were saved. One can read the account of it in Genesis chapters 6 to 9. We also have the story of Sodom and Gomorrah! It is written that things got so bad that, as he did in the days of the flood: ‘Then the Lord said. ‘The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not then I will know! This is followed by an amazing intercession of Abraham pleading for the life of Lot His nephew who lived in Sodom…Two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city…by the time Lot reached Zoar (Could have been a village away from Sodom) The sun had risen over the land. Then the Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah – from the Lord out of the Heavens, thus He overthrew those cities and the entire plain. (Genesis chapters 18 and 19 give the full story.) When the tree is rotten it is ready for the fire. God is still warning the world today, but one day soon He will intervene. The last thing I want to do is to frighten any one, but it is my duty to try and worn people, because there still is time to repent and save their soul from destruction! You cannot afford to take a chance on your eternity!
Having mentioned what happened to the world in times of the flood, and why it happened, having quoted quickly the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, warnings to this present generation, calls to repentance, nothing is as sad as the history of the Israelites and what happened to them during their long history! They actions reveal to us, through their hardness and rebellious heart, the patience and longsuffering of God, who time after time, through many centuries, forgave them and restored them from their backsliding, saw ten tribes break away from His care to worship idols, but because of His promise to King David He gave the kingdom of Israel to the tribe Judah, yet, eventually, after witnessing the demise of the ten tribes of Israel, judge by the Lord, for he allowed the Assyrian Empire to take them into captivity, and they never returned to their land, which God gave them in the times of Joshua.
The tribes of Judah and Benjamin, in their turn rebelled against the rule of God who sent them into captivity to Babylon, from where after seventy years God restored them to their homeland, yet, after all these mercies and favours from the Almighty, they did not learn much, and to cut the story short, for it is a long and sad one, after being back in Palestine for a about five centuries, to them He sent firstly John the Baptist to call them to repent; He was followed by Jesus Christ, His own the Son, whom they hated and finally, forced the hands of Pilate, the Roman governor, who had him crucified! But when Jesus died the Jews died too, rejected of God they have never regained their spiritual status to this very day. To them as well as to the Gentiles there is only one way back to God, by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally, their history ended when the Roman Emperor Titus, who, dealt with them so viciously, brutally, he burned Jerusalem and the temple and there was not one stone left upon another, and then he sent those that he spared from the fire and the sword to the extremities of His empire. this happened in AD70. It lasted a long time for it was in 1948, after almost nineteen centuries, that Israel settled again in their own land, but they are now to God on par with the Gentiles, a political entity, dead in their trespasses and sins like the Gentiles! The Israelites have not learned the lesson. They are as the rest of the world, duped by the devil, and do his bidding! But, as the Bible says: ‘Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. A man reaps what he sows, the one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature shall reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Holy Spirit, from the Holy Spirit shall reap eternal life’. (Galatians 6: 7-8)

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
