Because it is a question of eternal life or eternal death, I cannot stress enough the necessity that to be saved from the curse that sin has imposed on humanity, men have to know the truth and they could not know the truth about Jesus Christ, unless a preacher is sent to them to tell them about the Lord’s liberating power, and show to them the way from condemnation to eternal life; this comes out strongly in the following statement, which continues the sequence of questions found in Romans chapter ten. So, we must deal with the question which follows the one quoted in Link 43! To remind you of the sequence quoted from that chapter, let me quote the following verses: ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is the word of faith we are proclaiming. That if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’, (Jehovah – Yahve) and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with the heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.’ (Romans 10: 8-10) As far as this statement is concerned it leaves no room for doubts; it is as strong as God himself! When a man is saved, He is saved for ever. Then in ‘Link’ 45 I continued the sequence of the questions which the Apostle Paul deals with, the importance of them is immense, for they are steps that are repeated every time a person comes to the Lord to be saved, as it is written: ‘Anyone who trusts in Him, will not be put to shame (he will never regret it) For there is no difference between Jew or Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him. For, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord (Jehovah) will be saved’! Whether he is a Jew or a Gentile! There is no difference for those that are in Christ. (Romans 10: 11-13)
But we cannot forget that there was a big, huge difference, between the Gentiles and the Israelites, it happened when God called Abraham, about twenty centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ. He called him to make of him this special nation, for all Israelites are all his descendants! Then, through Moses, well over four centuries later, God gave to the Israelites, after He delivered from slavery to the Egyptians, the law – the Ten Commandments; together with many other precepts. Israel was the only nation that Jehovah communicated with, revealed Himself to. I cannot go into all the details, but it is through Jesus Christ that God, through the Gospel, now speaks to all the nations from which millions of Jews and Gentiles have been and are being saved from condemnation, by faith in Christ, God’s called out people. As God called Abraham He still calls men today, to change direction and follow Him! He does it through the Gospel, as it is written: ‘Whosoever shall call of the name of the Lord will be saved’.(Acts 2: 21) But how will anyone call if He does not know how to call and who to call? This is why Jesus sends men, filled with the Holy Spirit, to show to unbelievers, by the Gospel, the way from darkness to Light, from Satan to God; for the whosoever, meaning those that call upon His name; it also means you!
I spent some time in explaining the importance that the Holy Spirit takes to convict men of all that had to take place before a man could believe and be delivered from death! Thus, we come to the last questions, which shows that to be saved one must make that commitment, and no man can take that step unless he hears the truth; this special call comes by the preaching of the Gospel: ‘How, then, can they call on the ONE they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the ONE of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? ‘And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those that bring good news.” (Romans 10: 15 – quoted from Isaiah 52: 7) All these questions are really one question! I shall proceed to deal with them.

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
