It was in Arabia, that Jesus Christ appeared to Paul on several occasions, it is then that he was taught the Gospel from the very lips of the Lord Jesus Christ, for he says to the Galatians: ‘I want you to know, brothers, that the Gospel I preach is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.’ (Galatians 1: 11-12) The Church would not be what it is meant to be without all that Paul contributed to its existence, and we would be in a sorry state if we did not have all that is written about him and what is written by Him, concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, that he loved and preached faithfully right up to his martyrdom. I believe that I have made many quotations which I found necessary, to prove that the little babe that was born of Mary, and who was cared by Joseph, his earthly father, for over two years in Bethlehem of Judea, then in Egypt for an unknown period is the incarnate son of the Living God! Until he reached the age of thirty, he lived in Nazareth a little town in Galilee; it is from there that he moved to Capernaum, situated by the sea of Galilee. It is in Galilee that He began His public ministry, He never went out of Palestine and faithfully preached to his people till He was crucified outside Jerusalem, the city of the King!
This man, Jesus of Nazareth, proved through His teachings, His cruel death on the cross, and His resurrection, to be the divine Son of God the Saviour promised centuries ago. In His exaltation, from heaven, He revealed Himself to be Jesus, whom Saul of Tarsus, called ‘Lord’, meaning ‘Jehovah’! Which He is forever! yet to all His disciples He is still Jesus, whom they revere, and lovingly worship him as their God, longing to see Him and be with Him forever. I also mentioned, that the death of Jesus Christ on that CROSS brought the end of the Jewish nation as it was up till then. As for the Gentiles, they were cast off from God long before them. I must mention that death is a spiritual one, it really means that man is cut off by God, who is the source of all lives! Jesus said that God is not the God of the dead but of the living. This cutting off, means that God rejected all men from because of their rebellion, and stopped all communication with men, and from that moment God has no dealings with them at all! The casting away of humanity happened before Abraham was born, when God destroyed the Tower of Babel and dispersed it from thence on the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11: 8-9)
Therefore, following this rejection of Israel by God, it is stated that: ‘there is from Christ’s death no difference between Jew and Gentile.’ Yet until the death of Jesus Christ there was a difference, for God sent Jesus, His Son, to the Jews, but they rejected Him, as it is written: ‘He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognise Him, (now take note of the following statement) He came to that which was His own (people, the Jews) But His own did not receive Him! More than that, when Pilate, the roman governor tried to reprieve Jesus from death, for he realised that He was falsely accused by a bunch of religious fanatics, said: ‘Here is your King, but they shouted: Take Him away! Take Him away! Crucify Him.’ Shall I crucify your King? Pilate asked. ‘We Have no king but Caesar’the chief priests answered. Finally, Pilate handed Him over to them to be crucified.’(John 19: 14-16). Thus, the Gospel, since the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God, is a call to repentance for the whole wide world, Jews and gentiles! Remember that the Church of Christ, is a new humanity, and was born in Jerusalem when Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit on a hundred and twenty of His disciples, this happened on day of the Feast of Pentecost, also called the feast of harvest, commemorated fifty days after the Passover, (Easter)! This outpouring of thew Holy Spirit happened ten days after the ascension of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the first members of the Church of Christ were converted Jews, and Jerusalem was for quite a while the centre of Christianity. From the moment the disciples were baptised in the Holy Spirit they were empowered and set on fire; thus, the Church grew rapidly to five thousand strong; it is from Jerusalem that the Gospel was taken by the Apostles, who were disciples of Jesus Christ, into the whole world! So, it is wrong to think that all Jews rejected the Lord, many loved Him and spread the Good News about Him. Jews were the first Christians martyrs!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
