Among many things I have stated as to: ‘Who Jesus is’! I also mentioned what God, His Father, says as to ‘Who Jesus is’. For He stated it openly after Jesus was baptised in the Jordan river by John the Baptist, as it is written: ‘as: ‘He went up out of the water. At that moment heaven opened, and he (John) saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on Him (Jesus). And a voice from heaven said: This is my son, whom I love; with Him I am well please.’ (Matthew 3: 16-17) John the Baptist adds to it the following and said what is most emphatic: ‘The next day, John saw Jesus coming towards him and said (to the people and his disciples) Look the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said: a man who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me. I myself did not know Him, but the reason I came baptising with water was that He might be revealed to Israel’. Then John gave this testimony I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on Him. I would not have known Him, except that the one (God the Father) who sent me to baptise with water, told me: The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptise with the Holy Spirit. I have seen and testify that this is the Son of God! (John 1: 29-34) It was a divine confirmation in an amazing situation. The Bible although written long ago, through many centuries, by various authors, is always in the present and daily God fulfils prophecies given centuries ago!

This is a thrilling testimony from a great and unique prophet to whom God revealed directly how he would recognise Jesus His Son, whom he never saw prior to His baptism, but was appointed by God to introduce Him to His people, Israel. I mentioned also that Jesus Himself, on few occasions, confessed openly as to ‘Who He is’. Lastly, when He was questioned by Caiaphas the high priest before the Sanhedrin Council, He confessed, openly as to who He was, it is written: ‘The high priest said: I charge you under oath by the Living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. Yes, it is as you say, Jesus replied. Having confessed therefore that He was divine, Caiaphas the high priest and the Sanhedrin Council, condemned Jesus to die, saying: But I say to all of you: in future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest tore his clothes and said: He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think? He is worthy of death, they answered.’ Later on, when questioned by Pilate the roman governor who tried to free Jesus, for he found no fault in Him; Caiaphas said: ‘We have a law, and so, according to that law He must die, because he claimed to be the ‘Son of God’! Hence, there should not be any doubt in the minds of people that Jesus is more than a prophet, that He is, in fact, God incarnate, who rose from the dead, was caught into heaven where He is, sitting at the right hand of God, His Father!

Yet, after all these centuries the cloud still remains! For many things, nowadays, which have been said in every generation since came to earth Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. But only those that are saved know who Jesus really is, and freely confess what Peter did, as it is written: ‘When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, “Who do people say the Son of man is?” They replied: ‘some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others Jeremiah or some of the prophets. ‘But what about you?” He asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, (The Messiah) the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but my Father in heaven!”. Thus, there is no doubt as to who Jesus Christ is, and that He saves to this very day those who, by a revelation from the Holy Spirit in the heart know who Jesus is. These alone, possess the new created spirit, by which they can  believe and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, Jehovah, the Son of the living God!
