The content of the verses quoted at the end of the previous Link, is so huge, that it would be impossible for a human mind to conceive, the power of the divine revelation it embraces, is far too big for any man to pen such words, that not even a mind like that of the apostle Paul could imagine! John also penned some astonishing words! What that man wrote in His Gospel, in his three epistles and, to cap it all, in the Book of Revelation, is divine; its depth is humanly inconceivable, for it starts with Christ in eternity and ends with Him and His Church in heaven; the Father’s eternal home! The verse I have quoted in the previous Link contains astonishing statements. In the quotation John wrote from the Prayer Jesus prayed to God, His Father, Jesus declares clearly that he is eternal: ‘Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.’ When was that? We cannot put a date to it, for God is outside time as we know and moves as He needs to accomplish His designs!

Some scientists, who think that they know more than God does, although we respect them, they still are human, and being so, they make mistakes, as we all do; nevertheless, if the world is as old as they say it is, then Jesus is talking to His Father about something that they may have shared together over four hundred fifty million years ago, and beyond! we just do not know? How can one put eternity into numbers of years, one would start with number one and never stop adding zeros, a life time would not suffice! But it was in this eternal situation that Jesus was, as He is still today, with His Father. Before He ever created the earth, or stars and planets older than our world, how about that? What did He mean? Did he mean the beginning of the material earth, which men think is that old, or did he mean the present earth! in which He put Adam the first man, created in His image, whichever it was it was before Adam was even thought of.  Thus, If Jesus is not eternal, God in His own right, who is? 

According to the verses in John’s Gospel, chapter 17, quoted previously, it was sometimes before man was created, that God, the father, conceived a plan of redemption and at one point decided to share it with His Son, and revealed to Jesus the important part He had in it.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God always working in unison and harmony, it all started with the earth, our earth was chosen to be the place where it would all happen. Jesus would come as a man, to face that fallen archangel ‘Lucifer’, Satan; and as a man Jesus would take him on and destroy Him. Thus: ‘‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was with God in the beginning. By Him were all things created and without Him nothing was created that had been created!’… And the Word (Jesus) became flesh and made his dwelling among us! At the time I am writing this ‘Link’, we are nine weeks away from Christmas day, when the Christians remember and rejoice over the birth of Jesus Christ the Son of God, their Saviour!

For a man to imagine the smallest of all these statements, is a nonstarter; one needs the help of a higher power to embark on this great ocean of divine revelation. The smallest word frustrates man of science so much that they prefer not to believe it. Man is too proud to admit his limits; of course, but all are not unbelievers. I believe that without the smallest spark of divine light, no man can grasp it, nor how to decipher the smallest meaning of divine truths; to lead him to Christ and believe that He is God, man needs to be born of the Spirit, for He brings life and light into man’s darkened soul. To encourage man to take one step on this great journey of life demands a miracle! When it was necessary Jesus asserted His divinity, but He did not find that it was needful to herald to the world who He was. but He cared for His disciples, but even they could not always understand Him, not until they were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost could they begin to preach like Jesus did, in the power of the His anointing!
