A oneness between family members, each giving the other the affection that should be normal among the sons of God. I often feel that if Christians find that they have not got enough time to read the Bible through, if not from Genesis to Revelation, or just the New Testament, they must not miss, to steep themselves in the eighth chapter of Romans, followed by the first epistle of the apostle John. Take it right in and live every word until they feel that they have got it all to the very marrow of the bones! Such words cannot be ignored for they bring a powerful dimension in their relationship with Jesus, and through Him, with God our Father. If you feel adventurous, read the epistle of Romans written by the apostle Paul, once a month. Every Christian should have a time set apart for his/her communion with God, and listen to what he says in the Holy Bible.

So, the Lord must have been on the sea side pretty early to have it all done. With all the fish they brought in after the miraculous catch, they could have spent all the time they needed, and eat until they were fully satisfied and comforted, Jesus also, was in no hurry! When finally, the time had come, for Jesus came to especially talk to Peter, but it is obvious that He did not plan to talk with him in private, what He wanted to say to Peter, the other apostles heard it; He did so for a reason! Thank the Lord, because years after the facts, John having heard it, was able to write it down perfectly! But before he could be heard properly, Jesus could not speak to a very hungry bunch of men, who had in mind, to go and catch some fish for breakfast! 

So, Jesus took all the time that was necessary to restore them, and to communicate to them all that He did to ‘reinstate Peter’ to the ministry he was called originally, and this in spite of his denial. To me it looks more like a ‘divine healing!’ Because, although they all forsook Jesus and fled, Peter actually did deny on oath that he knew the Lord Jesus, and because of it, he needed special care! Not only that, but unbeknown to them, Jesus had a special ministry for this impulsive fisherman! And what he had to tell Him about it, had, for a good reason, to be heard by the rest of the party! Because of these details, we can now read the whole story, and appreciate every bit of it, and learn something more about the Lord Jesus Christ that we are all called of God, to love and serve.

To Peter and all the other disciples, it was a day, as it began, living it a bit at a time, they could not have known how it was all going to pan out. This fact is something that we should always remember, because all Christians should have a Bible, and read all that’s written down; we can know the full story, right from Genesis to Revelation; Oh, the wonder of it all! that we still can have a Bible, the Word of God to the world! after all the devil did in history to get it out of circulation, it is one of the great miracles of preservation! But sadly, most people still have not got one, that’s why I have quoted long portions of it! At the start of the reformation, in the sixteenth centuries, copies of the Bible were burned by the thousands, and to the romans Catholics it became a forbidden book. To this very dayThey are not encouraged to read it to this very day. I know something about it, I lived many years in France, so I know the subtle way it is done.

Nevertheless, we get a double blessing because we can imagine and live it again, step by step, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, thoroughly enjoy it to get for our personal benefit, all the blessings from the way God almighty, deals with immortal men, His born-again children. Back to the disciples! I am sure, humanly speaking, that many, would have thought that after their behaviour, they were totally unfit for such an important mission, aren’t we all, Christians, unfit to this very day! but as I have said so often, we are not dealing with men and their politics, for we are on the verge of discovering great things about God and His kingdom!
