I am concentrating on this point, because what Christians must realise/believe is, that a Christian is not just a religious person, by going to Church, as it is believed by so many, a Christian is new creation, a new man, born of God, all believers in Jesus Christ must really believe, that being one of his children, only then, can one be baptised in water and seek to be baptised with the Holy Spirit. He must accept that being a son, means that he is also an heir, a co-heir with Christ! For it is written: ‘But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, (a Jew) to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the (Holy) Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba’ Father. SO, you are no longer a slave, but a son, and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir!’ (Galatians 4: 4-7) Of all the blessings of the New Covenant.

We have, in the Bible, a great source of revelation to all these great blessings which Jesus mentioned in His prayer written in John chapter seventeen! There is so much to say about this prayer which our Heavenly Father answered and is answering to this very day. One thing I must mention, is, that it is so obvious and definite, that according to His prayer, every time a sinner repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is born to another life, eternal, God’s life! In His prayer, Jesus makes a complete difference between all that are His, and the world of rebels, sinners, made up of Jews and Gentiles, for all people outside of Christ are dead in sin! Thus, all unbelievers are, what Jesus calls: the world! condemned to hell already. The only way out of the curse of sin, is to believe in Jesus Christ.

Now we must know what the world really is, because it is not the materiel universe as such, which is called the earth. In the Holy Scriptures ‘the world’ is all the nations, as varied as they are in colour, creed, and religions, the whole of humanity, organised, by religions and politics through Satan, against God. So, ‘the world’ as seen in the Holy Scriptures, the Bible! Is under the rule of ‘Satan’ who - is called the god of this world, who has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.’ (2 Corinthians 4: 4) It is an impediment from birth, for all are children of Adam, born under that curse.

The conversion of a sinner into a believer in Christ, is therefore a mighty miracle, for God alone can create. It is the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity, that conditions and opens the minds of men to believe in Christ and be saved. Jesus makes this truth plain when He says that ‘He revealed God as Father to the men He gave to Him out of the world. He says that these men were God’s prior to their conversion, for the whole universe belongs to God. ‘They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.’ (John 17: 6) Whilst all men are His, He is not their Father, not until sinners are born again of the Spirit do they become His sons. So, for anyone to become a Christian, a new creation, He must hear the Gospel, which is the word, preached by the servants of Jesus, the gospel that He preached, and His apostles, and by men called by Him to this holy office since then, to this very day, and this without any substructions, or additions the Full Gospel. Jesus clearly said it in His commission: ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and I am with you always, to the end of the ages. (Matthew 28: 19-20) 

So, the apostles and disciples did it, for it is written: ‘After Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word with the signs that accompanied it. (Mark 16: 19-20) Jesus wrought many wonderful and amazing miracles, and so did the apostles, for great signs of healing and deliverances from evil spirits happened with the preaching of the word, the gospel. The greatest miracle as I have said, is the new birth!
