Jesus, by his preaching and His miracles, disturbed the whole nation of Israel, especially its religious leaders. Some of His teaching was very forceful, for it involved the scrapping of the old order, which would bring the nation of Israel in par with gentile nations, the thought of it enraged them, they hated Him vehemently for it! The whole clergy hated Jesus, because part of what He said was directed at them and at their folly in resisting the inevitable! When God has determined to do something, who can stand up to Him or stop Him? Thus, these men spread derogatory things about Jesus, some were not so bad, others were very bad lies; in short; the Jewish clergy wanted Him dead. King Herod, also, wanted Him dead, I think that these priests knowing it, tried to scare Him and said: “Leave this place and go somewhere else, Herod wants to kill you.’ He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will drive out demons and heal people today and to-morrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal. In any case, I must keep going today and to-morrow and the next day – for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!”. In the light of such a statement, I ask: Where is that Jesus meek and mild that so many make Him to be? He can stand up to the whole armies of demons with Satan at their head, so who was King Herod? Whilst Jesus was always respectful towards authorities, He was fearless, and no-one could deter Him from speaking publicly what God, His Father told Him to say!
Jesus came to bring in a new order and bring into the world the Gospel, which reveals the mighty words He received from His Father, creative words, bringing into revelation God’s plan, for all that is still being fulfilled started with Him. The words he received from His Father, is the Gospel that He intrusted to His disciples, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit they took it to the world! This Gospel is powerful, it is the only power that can change the destiny of sinful men bound for hell! By the power of the Holy-Spirit and by faith in the Lord Jesus-Christ, men are born again into a family; they are God’s sons, men born by the mighty power of the Spirit, by inspired preaching of the Gospel they changed the eternal destiny of thousands upon thousands and tens of thousands of men from all the nations under the sun! This brings us to this all-important question I asked at first: ‘Who is a Christian?’ ‘What is a Christian? To be able to do it, I had to ask first of all the all-important question: ‘Who is Jesus?’ For if there were only one true Christian in the world, he could not be one, unless He knew who Jesus really is. If anyone drops Christ out of His place of power and glory, or ignores Him, is on doggy ground: For ‘Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.’ (Acts 4:12)
So, ‘Who is Jesus?’ I asked this question in closing a previous ‘LINK’; I believe it to be the most important question one may have to answer while on earth! Since that name was first uttered by the archangel Gabriel, it has become the most important name amongst men. As says one hymn. ‘In that all prevailing Name, all promises (of God) are mine.’ Gabriel came from God to tell Joseph that Mary was pregnant and that she would bring forth a son, and that he should call Him JESUS, for His mission would be to save His people from their sins, and its inbred power. The name ‘Jesus’ mean Saviour, to this day millions of people thank God for that exceptional Name, for through faith in Him, they have been saved from the power of sin, the slavery to the devil and the fear of death. Now, they live in His service, praising God for their redeemer! The world has always been mixed up; so many ideas so many gods, how can there be only one way? As it is written: ‘Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death!’ (Hebrews 2:14-15).

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
