So, the importance of the statements I made are said by Jesus Christ after He was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit led Him to declare them. To this very day, it is the Holy Spirit that leads the true disciples, they make up the Church of Christ, and where the Holy Spirit cannot lead and inspire, there is death, and no growth of the work of the Lord. It follows that God does not add to dead churches, which are in contradiction to the will of God, and He does not add to them those that should be saved. (Acts 2: 47) No one can be saved without the convicting work of the Holy Spirit, for it is the plain teaching of the New Testament, that from the moment a person truly repents of its sins, the Holy Spirit alone, according to the will of God, is at work, and He alone begins to make all the changes in a born again believer, before he can be baptised with the Holy Spirit, which is the amazing promise to God’s sons, to the glory of God, all in their life, and actions, will be directed to the praise and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ! As said Jesus: ‘When He is come, He will glorify me.’

The whole history of the disciples, and the apostles; the conclusion as to what they learned or did not, whilst ministering with Jesus. What they understood or did not understand of His teaching, ended with them seeing Jesus go back to heaven, as: ‘They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going …He was taken before their eyes and a cloud hid Him from their sight! (Acts 1: 9-10) They would never see Him again, all the disciples they were left to wait for the Holy Spirit, men, and women, for as they were, they were incapable to work for Him, they needed the wisdom, the guidance, and power of the Holy Spirit. They never expected what radical inward change in all of them, disciples, and apostles, was going to follow the actual fulfilment of the promised baptism/infilling with the Holy Spirit! But ten days were spent we read: ‘When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place!’

Before I continue and deal with the book of Acts chapter two, and with the tremendous changes that the baptism with the Holy Spirit did to the apostles, and the disciples, men, and women, I have to explain a point of doctrine that is mainly overlooked by the majority of Christian or so-called Christians. In general, all born again Christians agree that they are a new creation, born again, a new creation, sons of God! The biblical terms used, are children or sons of God. The apostle Paul in his epistles, calls Christians, in the main: ‘Sons of God, whereas the apostle John calls them: ‘Children.’ But Jesus did say that in the future life we shall all be as the angels.
