Then I mentioned that it follows, that being changed so radically, a true Christian is converted into a new eternal creation, and that this certainty can only be established solidly in his heart, by knowing what God says in the Bible, concerning the assurance of being saved, with the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit. We have reached the final sign of the divine sonship, which is the baptism with the Holy Spirit, He is the seal that such a believer in Christ is truly a son of God. For it is written: ‘In Him you were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we (Jews) who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And you (Gentiles) also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1. 11-14) All believers are to be sealed with the baptism of the Holy Spirit until the day of the rapture, for at that point we shall enter into our full inheritance, receiving our new glorified bodies. There is not a believer that became one through his own initiative or will, it is totally by God’s grace, through faith in Christ, as applied by the Holy Spirit!

For any believer who has gone through all the experiences which I have stated step by step from the start, not believing that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the final proof of our divine sonship, would be outrageous, since by it, God has committed Himself to complete what He has begun. It also grieves the Holy Spirit for it is written: ‘And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4: 30) As another promise, I quote. ‘Now it is God that makes us (Jews) and you (Gentiles) stand firm in Christ. He has anointed us, set a seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come! (2Corinthians 1: 21-22) All is done, and sealed.

Therefore, I have done my utmost to lay the scriptural foundation to this absolute conviction, and all of you who have gone step by step into this absolutely amazing change of life, and are able to say with the apostle Paul: ‘I am persuaded.’ The many scriptures I have quoted; I have done it, to answer the two points covered previously.’ It is a fact that one verse in the New Testament can apply to various subjects, in different stages of our experience, so you may find that I will mention them again, but the context will be different, and so, let’s get on with it!

Hence, I will mention again what John the Baptist preached! Was to introduce Christ, to the people, God declaring that the man that he just baptised, was His beloved Son, and for that purpose Jesus left Nazareth to Beth-Bara also called Bethanie, to be baptised by John the Baptist, baptised people in the Jordan, for he concentrated his message on fulfilling prophesies: Firstly: ‘Look or Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1: 29) But sadly, a lot of Christians stop there, thinking that, that is enough, sins and their forgiveness is all they want, and all that is needed, for that is what their conscience brings to their remembrance, so all that they want or need is forgiveness of sins! And since no-one can stop sinning, they keep confessing them, and this is what the Roman Catholics exploit, and deprive their followers of the truth, that forgiveness is the start of a journey that leads them to being converted into a new man, whom the Holy Spirit leads to a true conviction, a deep certainty, that as such he/she is a Son/child of God, called, separated, to a full commitment to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and through Him, serve God faithfully!
