So, as I stated quickly, for it is a separate and important subject. We need our great high priest when we sin, and through the sacrifice of Himself, the blood of the spotless lamb of God, Jesus Christ, cleanses us from all sin. To conclude this great ministry of Jesus I quote the following verses: ‘During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverend submission. Although He was a son, (spotless Son of God) He learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him and was (on their behalf) designated by God to be High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. A forever High Priest. So let no one condemn a brother in need, for he who despises him, is guilty of a greater sin. The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ cleanses us (Christians) from all sin.

We must realise also that although Jesus is in heaven, if the Holy Spirit dwells in a Christian, Jesus dwells in Him, this is why He says: ‘On that day when you, the day you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit, you will realise that I am in my Father and you are in me. The relationship of a born-again Christian with God His father, and the Lord Jesus Christ His Son, is a very deep, real, and eternal forever oneness with Him that will not and cannot be annulled. Jesus said to Philip some amazing truths, they are written, and I feel that I have to quote them, because they have to do with the coming down of the Holy Spirit: ‘Don’t you know me Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say: Show us the father? D’ont, you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? (It shows that although Jesus was in a human body, His oneness with God was not annulled. On Mount Hermon, Peter, James, and John saw His divine glory shine through) The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing His work. (this is quite a revelation; it reveals that they were/are never apart) Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and that the father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. (John 14: 9-11) In other words, Jesus is saying that God His Father – who is now our Father --did all the miracles, he was just the vehicle! Never alone!

The citing of the following verses, gets down to the nitty-gritty of an amazing, for Jesus brings the Christians, His brothers into an deep amazing oneness. ‘If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter/Counsellor (somebody else to advise, teach you, and defend you) to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him (sinners are incapable to welcome Him, for they are blind and cannot see their need of Him-- they have not got any notion as to who He is) but you know Him, for He lives with you (is near you) and shall be in You. Before long the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live you will live also. (I think that Jesus was speaking of the resurrection life which they will share with Him when the Holy Spirit will bring when He is actually in them) On that day, you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me!...If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make out home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own, they belong to my Father who sent me! (John 14: 15-24) It is obvious that an awful lot happens to a Christian when he is baptised, filled, with the Holy Spirit. We can see the difference very plainly in the disciples, for from the day of Pentecost when they were baptised with the Holy Spirit, they proved to be deeply changed in their understanding and appreciation of all that Jesus taught them; He said clearly: ‘On that day, you will realise that I am in my Father, and that you are in me.’ I shall say more about it.
