I ended my previous ‘Link’ saying that the principal reason why Jesus Christ came to earth was to save men. So, I ask: Why did men need saving? And then another: What did men need saving from? Before I answer these questions, we need to return to the verse in John’s gospel, in which Jesus was praying to His Father and said: ‘And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had before the world began.’ (John 17:5) This statement is of immense importance not only to Christians, especially in these days of great confusion, but it is also important to the whole world, unless men realise and believe in all that the Bible says about Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, they shall end up in hell, whatever you may be led to believe, hell is a real place, because according to God’s Holy Book, He sent His Son specifically for the purpose of saving men from it!
Jesus in His prayer mentions a glory which he had when He was in heaven with His father before the world began. This glory was veiled during his life on earth, but this glory is still what makes Jesus Christ Unique and divine. Men have done all kind of evil things to reach some kind of what they thought was glory, some did all sorts of things to get it. History is a bloody story, revealing how far men were prepared to go to reach the top, and share in a dream of greatness, when they reached it, they had to strive hard to keep it, many lost it too soon and discovered that what they got was a curse rather than glory! Three disciples of Jesus Christ had a vision of is glory when He took them up a mountain, as it is written: Having mentioned partly already, I shall now refer to it more amply “After six days Jesus took with Him Peter, James and John the bother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus: ‘Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters – one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah. While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said: ‘This is my Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him.” (Matthew 17:1-5) God’s glory is the whole expression of His being, and it is seen in all that He has done, does and in what He says!
If we started to talk about His glory, and that of the Father and the Holy Spirit, it would take us right through the Bible, because the whole earth is full of His glory, but men are blind and live in the darkness of the devil’s principality, unable to see, what Isaiah saw, when He had a vision of God (Isiah 6). King David had eyes that could see, and what He saw filled Him with praise, revelations of God’s glory always do, David filled with the wonder of what He saw said: “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children, you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings (angels)…. O Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth.” (Psalm 8:1-9) It is good to have eyes that can see something of the glory and majesty of God, just to see it! How great, but to actually share it, it must be outstanding! But Jesus had to leave that glory, and He emptied Himself and became a man, as His Father wanted it!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
