Therefore, I now answer the second question: ‘What is a Christian?’ I must just quote these last statements to this conclusion before I introduce my third and last point to this one, it will actually lead us to new introduction. They are words that the apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Colosse. Paul states: Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you. (now I rejoice in all my sufferings for you – King James version) and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regards to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of His body, the Church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in all its fulness – the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints! To them, (to us is this age) God has chosen to make known unto the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory. WE proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ To this end I labour, struggling with all His energy, which so perfectly work is me.(Colossians 1: 24-29) Amen, so be it!
Little did Paul know that two millenniums after, we still realise how proud, and very thankful, we should be to be part of the family that holds the heritage of all those that have gone before us, and we are sure that together we shall meet the Lord and be forever with Him. So, I have exhausted many hours and many, many, quotations of the Holy Scriptures, to make it as clear as possible, that a sinner in a lost and corrupt being, condemned to hell, can actually be convinced and certain, that by the grace of God, he has passed from death unto life, and from slavery to Satan into the welcoming arms of God, because of His great love and, amazing grace, manifested In Christ Jesus.
Hence, thirdly: I say that all the statements I made thus far, not sparing the time each one merited to bring home the real truth as to who is a Christian? Stating how the Holy Spirit works it all out, and how He sees to the growth and development of every believer, so that a man of God is able to glorify Him, and do His will. Therefore, to do the will of God, just like Jesus did, His disciples, and true Christians in all ages, right up to the present, demands a complete ‘Commitment’! from everyone, belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, in which social echelons, do not exist, or should not exist, it is not divided into clergy, and laity; as it is written: ‘There is neither Jew nor Greek (meaning Gentile), slave nor free, male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.’ If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise, (or of the promise) (Galatians 3: 26-29)
Thus, a true Christian is a man who, with the help of the Holy Spirit, has been led from his initial conversion, from a sinner into a saint, to a sure and solid conviction about all that Jesus has done to save him for eternity, and all that he has done in him, so that such a privileged person, a son of God, is ready and willing to commithimself/herself, to live for the rest of his/her life, to the glory of God. It means that a Christian is saved to serve and live the rest of his earthly life to the glory of Christ and the growth of His kingdom! Having served Satan, a tyrant for many years, now as a son of God, a Christian, he is part of a family enterprise, led by the Holy Spirit, to save other men from slavery to the devil, and glorify God in Spirit and in Truth!
This can only be done by the spreading of the Gospel which is the power of God for the salvation of everyone that believes. Thus, every member of Church is naturally committed to serve his master Jesus Christ, just as He wants him to. Not all Christians are called to be preachers, but all are called to be witnesses, to serve the Lord in different ways, according to the gifts bread into him by the Holy Spirit, wherever he or she may be placed, and whenever the Lord makes it possible. To witness without fear about all that Christ is and all that He has done for us. To that end let us do so whenever the Holy Spirit gives us an opportunity, avoiding, at all cost, to enter into pointless disputations!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
