Anointed by the Holy Spirit the gospel to this day. is still. ‘the power of God for the salvation of everyone that believes. (Romans 1. 16) ‘by its power, still the same, is what starts every man that God calls, on a journey to become a Christian until by faith In Christ, he reaches the shores of his heavenly Canaan! Paul preached with the strong certainty, with deep conviction, knowing that God will fulfil His promises, and that all that have committed themselves to Jesus Christ, shall see Him and be at home with Him!
The apostle Paul fulfilled his calling, among others, he wrote two epistles to a young Pasteur called Timothy, whom he knew from childhood, took him under his wing, formed Him to be, as a son, a faithful and dedicated preacher and teacher of the Gospel, just as he heard it from the lips of Paul, this unique apostle who said to him: ‘Do not be ashamed, to testify about the Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in the suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Lord and saviour, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. And of this Gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day!’ (2 Timothy 1: 12)
This conviction, of being saved, this assurance of being a child of God, rests in God, who in His mercy and grace, saved us unworthy sinners, and has pledged Himself to keep us saved, and that nothing, nor anyone, not even the whole power of hell, can pluck us out of His hands. He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day! (2 Timothe 1: 8-12) I have mentioned the following verses before yet it is good for me to repeat them again, for they fit the context of this mini conclusion to the second pointof the original question: ‘Who is a Christian?’. I quote what Paul writes in the epistle of Romans. ‘No! in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!’(Romans 8: 37-39) This ‘Faith’ is not a religion, it is not some sort of weak confession, one among too many! it is God at work in the world, even if it is two thousand years after it all happened to Christ’s disciples! The position of a Christian in this generation is identical to that of our first brothers in Christ, and we can claim the same fulfilment in each one of us, the fulfilment of all the promises they enjoyed, and use their power to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord, just as they did!
What Paul mentions is obviously true of all that believe. All true Christians, even now, can say as does this choice apostle: I know…I am convinced…I am persuaded. We all have this heritage in vessels of clay, which the Holy Spirit, by the grace of God, without merits of our own, has made so real in all the children of God, that brings us to the last point as to the question: ‘Who is a Christians’? Christians are all those that together with all those from previous generations, are now forcefully committed to live for the glory of their Saviour Jesus Christ, consecrated to live, and bring about the kingdom of God! He, through the Holy Spirit, will not cease to work in us and through us His children, until Jesus comes to take us home. The Holy Spirit with His anointing will help us to bring glory to Him, and God our Heavenly Father.

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
