So, being converted into a saint, for every child of God is a saint, which means being set apart by God, separated from the world, called out from the it, God has separated a believer from the world of sinners to be his child! He took him, or her, out of the corruption of a dead world, to be His treasured possession. The apostle Paul, as he addresses the Christians of His days, and us to this very day, writes: ‘To all in Rome who are loved by and called to be saints!(Romans 1: 7) To those in Corinth he writes: ‘To the Church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Jesus Christ and called to be holy! (1 Corinthians 1: 2) To be a saint is to be sanctified called out, set apart by God, to be part of His family! And again: ‘To the church in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!’

Although still fighting, still failing and sinning, we are encouraged, for it is written ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness, If we claim we have not sinned, (since we have been saved) we make Him a liar and his word has no place in our lives. (1 John 1: 8-10) Remember that all epistles are written to all Christians! We must make room for the Word and believe it. A Christian cannot be in and out of grace, if he could not be saved by his own efforts, he cannot stay saved by them either! One does not have to work wonders to be a saint, once a man is washed from His sins, by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, by faith in Him, He is set apart, a saint, and God does not impute his sin to him, it is never put on His account! But he has to confess to be cleansed.Chosen and called by God from a life of sin into His service, thereafter every Christian is kept by His power!

Hence, to be a saint means that God has called a person from the world, to be His treasured possession, put aside for Himself, sanctified, being separated from the world, such a person becomes part of His family! I wanted to mention it again for I wrote about it in previous Links, but it is helpful to repeat things because unbelievers and false Christians, have complicated so much simple statements of divine truths, to the point that the real truth is buried in the confusion of various human ideas and heresies! When I was a student, I was taught that the art of teaching is to repeat often the same truths, because the ear gate is often shut, the mind plays tricks, it hears but does not listen! How very true! To become a Christian is a profound experience, an emotional experience! But such a man, a Christian, is saved when he believes but he is not perfect. He will not be perfect until he is out of this imperfect body. Whilst not perfect he grows in grace and the knowledge of God, and gets stronger and stronger until he doubts no more, and is completely certain to be saved, forever assured!

One feels more and more the impact of the life of Christ coming into the heart, and one grows in faith and in stature after the similitude of Christ Jesus, until the Holy Trinity becomes very real, and each person in it is loved with a true and strong love. It is not something that one does, it is what is done to him, in him, by the Holy Spirit, and it can never be forgotten, nor can it be annulled. I do not say these things lightly, eternal security is real, it is not a human misconception of the truth, it is initiated and is an integral part of all that Jesus taught, and the apostles after Him; as I have stated previously! When one doubts it, it is due to factors that arise from himself and for a while he is destabilised by the deceit of the flesh, but the Holy Spirit by the word drives him back to a complete assurance of His salvation! Until he does not doubt anymore
