I am continuing to answer the question: Who is Jesus? He is accepted generally that He is Jesus the son of a man called Joseph, a carpenter of Nazareth and Mary his wife! A couple that has become notorious for they were the earthly parents to Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God. To most people of this generation, He is the leader of all Christians, estimated by some to be a prophet in line with the founders of all other religions. Nevertheless, to all true Christians He is ‘The Lord Jesus-Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Joseph was engaged to Mary, before their marriage he discovered that she was pregnant, thinking that she had been unfaithful to him, it was the only conclusion he could come to, so he wanted to break up with her, but secretly! It is obvious by his reactions how much he loved her, and suffered greatly to lose her, because of his love for her he did not want to shame her, so he decided to break their engagement secretly! So God had to intervene, hence, one night, in a dream, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy-Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name: ‘Jesus’, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:20-21). Joseph being a godly man with spiritual insight, did what the angel said.

Thirty years after Jesus’ birth, God Himself, confirmed openly as to who Jesus was. It happened immediately after He had been baptised in water by John the Baptist, in the river Jordan. It is written thus: “As soon as Jesus was baptised, He went out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened and John saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3: 16-17) Later, on another occasion, Jesus took three of His disciples up a mountain, as I mentioned briefly in the previous Link, there he was transfigured in front of them, they never forgot this amazing revelation; it is written that: “Jesus took with Him Peter, James and his brother John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them, Moses, and Elijah, talking with Jesus…While He was still speaking a bright cloud enveloped them, (all five of them) and a voice from the cloud said.’ This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well please. Listen to Him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. ‘Get up’ He said, ‘don’t be afraid’. When they looked up, they saw no-one except Jesus.’ (Matthew 17 1-8) 

For three years, these twelve disciples lived with Jesus, daily they walked with Him everywhere He went, and heard Jesus speak publicly, they heard also many wonderful things when He spoke to them privately, so, they had ample time to learn a lot about their Master, Jesus of Nazareth! One day, as they were all together in the north of the country, in a roundabout way, Jesus wanted to search them out, to know what they thought of Him; He started by asking them who the people thought He was, He asked: ‘Who do people say the Son of man is?’ They replied. ‘Some say John the Baptist; others Elijah; and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. ‘But what about you’. He asked, ‘Who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in Heaven.” (Matthew 16:13-17) 

Man, in his present state, is unable to know anything about the real spiritual realm, therefore, I maintain, that to know anything about the true dimension in which God moves and lives, one has to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit, who, according to the will of God, decides to reveal to men who Jesus is. I maintain that there is nothing more important in this life, than to know who Jesus is. Anyone that can say: ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Is truly blest! So, the Holy Bible alone states forcibly who He is, since many have not got a Bible, therefore, an immense lot of people in the whole world, do not know Him and do not respect Him, thus, they shut themselves from God, who reveals Himself in His Son Jesus Christ, whom one gets to know by reading the Bible. Because of this ignorance an awful lot of people will be lost forever, they were not able nor willing, to believe what the Bible, the Word of God says about Him, His Only beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
