When Jesus died, there was silence in heaven, until early on the Sunday morning, the third day, when God raised Jesus from the dead, He is now alive in heaven forever! It is written: ‘Jesus, the Son, is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word! After he had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.’ (Hebrews 1: 3-4) It is from there that He will return. From His exalted position, Jesus is still the only way for man to repent and return justified back to God! He remains the only man, to this very day, that rose from the dead, and who, in His glorified body, ascended into the very presence of God; and there as a High Priest of a new spiritual order, is the lamb of God, who by the sacrifice of Himself has atoned for the sins of all His brothers, and owns them in the presence of the Father: ‘Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, (into heaven) Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. (Hebrews 4: 14) Our certainty, our assurance, rests in what Jesus said on the cross ‘it is finished’ or ‘all is accomplished’. Nothing and no-one can now stop a sinner to be saved by faith in Jesus Christ, it will be so until it is completed and all his sheep are in!

Jesus is back where He came from, but different, for He took His glorified body into the Holiest of Holy, in the very presence of God, where, as a High Priest represents the saints before His Father! That means every man that has or will believe that He is Lord, ‘Jehovah,’ the Son of the living God, and that it is He who died for them! As I write these things I am overwhelmed, because knowing the love of God, is such a big thing and most wonderful, very hard to take it all in, it can only be known in part until all saints are glorified! In the face of it, I realise that I am human, my capacity is too small to assimilate Him, the ‘Most High’ God, Jesus Christ His only Son, and the Holy Spirit, their deep amazing love, how they work together to bring saved sinners to perfection! How can one fathom it, yet wonder of all wonders I do believe it together with countless numbers of men, people like me!

Yet with time the Holy Spirit, by the grace of God, brings much to light, I have never experienced the love of God as I do lately, and with every believer I am deeply convinced that where Jesus is, I, in God’s time, with millions of others, shall enter the House of God, and be there at home, with our Father, our Saviour and our Comforter the Holy Spirit, and all the redeemed, forevermore! It is not something that we earn, life eternal is given freely because of what Jesus did for the redemption of all that will believe. 

Before His passion, from the afternoon of the Thursday, until the early hours of Friday, Jesus spent it with His disciples, commemorating the Passover. He talked intimately with them; much later, the apostle John, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recorded the whole discourse, which we find in his Gospel from chapter thirteen to chapter seventeen. Before Jesus left the upper room, He said to them: ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my father’s house are many rooms; (King James version says ‘Mansions,’) I like that better! Because rooms are found in a hotel, no?! I fancy that it is more like a massif, most beautiful estate! Jesus said: ‘If it were not so, I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going! Thomas (one of His disciples) said to Him ‘Lord we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way’? Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the Life. No-one comes to the Father (God) except through me!’ (John 14: 1-6) It is all of faith, a free gift; through good works, by one’s own efforts, no-one can earn a place in heaven, no-one has to this very day, for salvation from the curse of sin is given freely, by the grace of God!
