The following verses confirm the secured eternal position of every true Christian, it is written: ‘In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy and those that are made holy are of the same family. So, Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. He says: I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation, I will sing your praises. (Psalm 22: 22) I will put my trust in Him. (Isaiah 8: 17) And again He says: Here am I, and the children God has given me! (Isaiah 8: 18) Since the children have flesh and blood (since they are human), He (Jesus) too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death – that is, the devil – and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels He helps, but Abraham descendants. For this reason, He (Jesus) had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might make atonement for the sins of (them) His people. Because, He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. (Hebrews 2: 10-18)
As Christians, we can only be certain, and ‘fully convinced,’ if we have been touched by the Holy Spirit and got the faith to know and accept what is written; without the word of God and faith in it, there is no foundation to any confessions that men may make. The salvation of the elect was all decided before Jesus left heaven. This reality about Christ is plainly stated in the Gospel and the rest of the New Testament. Many things written in the Old Testament, become clear in the New by their fulfilment. It makes plain that all that was spoken about Jesus by the prophets was real and powerfully true about what Jesus did and taught in the New Testament!
Jesus made the truth prophesied about Him very real, and Christians must realise once and for all, that they cannot make themselves holy, and just, only God can do it and he does it by the power of Jesus Christ’s risen life! It is therefore of paramount importance to realise why the preaching of the Gospel, puts the Cross and its message right at the beginning of man’s spiritual conversion. Without His Suffering, and all that happened to Jesus on the Cross, there would be no Gospel! I do not mean the wood, as I have said, the tree is now of no importance, what is important,is what Jesus did and accomplished on it, that message cannot be ignored or replaced, for it is then, when Jesus died, that Jews (and Gentiles), have lost any possibility to approach God by any some by faith in Christ who died on the Cross, to set free from the curse which sin brought on all mankind. As it is written: ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God – not by works (things that we do however praise worthy) so that no-one can boast! (Ephesians 2: 8) To add to this I quote: ‘This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.’ (Romans 5: 22-24) This applies to Jes and Gentiles!
This is where this verse, so often quoted, comes in strongly, for the apostle Paul says: ‘I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of every one who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile!’ (Romans 1: 16) God’s own Son bore the curse, and was cut off from Him on the cross and died!because at that moment the sins of the whole world were laid on Him, and by the power of His blood all can be washed away to all that believe that he died for them. One has to be stripped of self and humbly admit that they cannot do enough to be set free from the curse of sin and admit that they can only be saved from an eternity in hell, by God’s grace manifested in the gift of His SonJesus Christ!

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I. (International Bible Training Institute) situated in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex. I did not realise when I arrived at the College, how my life was about to change for the better.
