Thus, Jesus humbled Himself to suffer a horrible death and by it experienced what death, really is, it is a total rejection from a righteous and Holy God, a casting away, Jesus suffered this bitter rejection, for he cried: ‘My god! My God! why have you forsaken me’? (Matthew 27: 46) It seems like He did not expect it? Because God is righteous, He must punish sin, for it was born in the very heart of Satan, when he fell through pride taking legions of angels down with him. In His great love God sacrificed His own Son to atone for the sins of all that would believe on Him and went into hell itself, to proclaim that by the death which He just suffered, He overcame sin, death, and Satan; then He took with Him to heaven, all those who believed in Him from faithful Abel, the first martyr, to the thief on the cross, to whom He said: ‘Today, you will be with me in paradise!’ (Luke 23: 43)

When I ponder over what Jesus had to experience in coming into the world of men, I realise that we have not yet grasped what a great, amazing miracle it was, it is beyond anything that man can fathom! How could God become a man? The great problem we Christians have, for although we are born of God we are still in this body, we act like the disciples did, we do not really know God as well as we should, and because of it we do not know who we really are! In the eyes of God! Obviously, Christians are at different spiritual stages of knowing God whom we call ‘our Father.’ In the Bible, God reveals Himself by various names. The first being Elohim, then Jehovah, followed by The Almighty God, the Most-High God! Etcetera. It is since Jesus taught His disciples to call Him ‘Our Father,’ that Christians to this day address Him as such! It is a special name and nobody else, only His children can call Him ‘Father’, for it is by faith in Christ, His son, that He calls to Himself a family, as it is written: ‘Whom He predestined, He also called.’! (Romans 8: 29-30)

When His disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray that He said to them: ‘When you pray say:‘Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts (or trespasses – sins) as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen!(Matthew 6: 9-13) However many ears we are saved? We still cannot begin to know the greatness, the power, the glory of our Heavenly Father, who is called ‘The Almighty God.’ Yet we can address Him as our Father!

Now, the first step one learns as one begins to study theology! Is that Christians learn that the God, we discover in the Bible, especially in the New Testament, is a ‘Trinity’ – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – called ‘The Holy Trinity’! Three persons = One God; each being equal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent! I will not now go any farther, because it is a big subject, for what I am aiming at, is that it took a mighty, gigantic, miracle for God to send Jesus into the world by a birth identical as that of any other human being! Yet because this baby, born in a manger in Bethlehem, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, from His conception was holy andsinless! It became a unique birth, His conception, birth, life, and all that concerns Him is a wonderful story full of charm and power, the most wonderful story ever told and written by millions in as many books, as there are languages!

Following a statement, I made at the end of the previously, a question still remains: How was it possible, for this mighty being, the second person of the Holy Trinity, to empty himself of all His glory, and come veiled in a human body, grow up, to appear as a normal man, yet losing nothing of His deity? He lived at least twenty-five years of His life in Nazareth; it is presumed that He could be around five years old when Joseph, His father was told to go from Egypt back to Israel. Yet nothing of what He said or done during those silent years, could reveal to people that he was the Son of the Living God. In the midst of a crowd, He was unnoticed, a Jew among the Jews! Then, when the time was ripe, set by God before the world was made, He began to preach a message that has changed the whole world, and introduced a new era, a new covenant, which opened to all people, Jews and Gentiles, a way out of perdition into perfection?

My name is Edouard Jankowski and In September 1953 I landed on British soil. I was then nineteen years of age, and my destination was the I.B.T.I.
